Samantha Johnston

Samantha Johnston is the President and Owner of Peak Legal Search, where she spends her days matching attorney candidates with the hiring needs of the best law firms nationwide. She works across the spectrum of practice areas, vetting candidates, recognizing talent, and ensuring that a candidate’s abilities, experience, education and professional goals align with a firm’s recruiting needs. Samantha has helped countless attorneys identify lateral positions that meet their long-term goals and assisted firms around the country in securing the finest legal talent.

Samantha received her BA from Hamilton College and her MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Following business school, she worked in various marketing roles in the packaged goods industry and in start-up endeavors. Samantha also assisted prospective MBA students with the admissions process as a consultant at a premier test prep and admissions consulting agency. Samantha’s transition from marketing to recruiting was seamless; just as marketers promote and sell products and services, legal recruiters work with law firms and candidates to showcase and promote skills, backgrounds and expertise. Samantha spent 10+ years recruiting attorneys at a boutique legal recruiting agency in California prior to launching her own agency, Peak Legal Search.
